Changing the resolv.conf did the trick, and i can now bring up nslookup on
the secondary dns server, however, it is still not pulling records from
any primary dns servers.

i am running bind 4.9.6, and i have removed all but two forward domains
and two reverse domains from the named.boot file. Each domain is being
pulled from a seperate primary dns server, so as to rule out a problem
with anything except the secondary machine.
