The Radeon 8500LE should work just fine. That's what I have in my
Supermicro P6DGE motherboard right now. The motherboard is 3 or 4
years old now.

Run redhat-config-xfree86 and set the thing to run with 16-bit color
(3D only works at 16-bit color). Then go into the "Advanced" tab
(IIRC) and check the "Hardware 3D acceleration" checkbox.
We've had a Voodoo 3 3000 either in my computer or Kara's for the last
3 years or so now. It will work just fine.
