Find a sash binary. It's a little shell designed to be statically
linked, with a lot of functionality (like ls) built-in. Slap
/sbin/e2fsck on there, and you should have a semi-usable rescue
"system" (assuming e2fsck is statically linked, as it should be).
You might also want to look at http://www.toms.net/rb/ and the various
links he has there...
