Yes, but it is all to make the kernel *more* stable.  None of it is
really "development" stuff.  It's all pretty clear-cut bug-fixing.

BTW, without actually looking, I think the rate of 2.2.x releases is
nowhere near the pace of the early 2.0.x releases.  7 in 3 months
doesn't seem too bad to me.
