I am running shadowed passwords. I ran pwconv one the system was up, and
sure enough, /etc/passwd, and /etc/shadow are as they should be. All new
users added, also appear in these files correctly. 

I am going to try and run pwunconv, and see if I am able to pop mail.
I have telnet disabled, however, I am using ssh, which I have set up to
auth by password, and it is allowing connections, which leads me to
believe that shadow passwords are working.
