mail.local binary?

Well, the culprit comes out.

I finally recieved mail back stating "message undeliverable", and it came
with this error:

   ----- Transcript of session follows -----
451 Cannot exec /bin/mail.local: No such file or directory
451 <charles@cjm.motion.net>... Operating system error
Warning: message still undelivered after 4 hours
Will keep trying until message is 5 days old

What is mail.local? Sure enough though, I don't have it in /bin. The only
thing there is a binary called mail. I tried a symlink pointing to it
called mail.local, and no go. Could someone give me a quick sendmail
lesson on mail.local?
