as for redhat leaving out kde...
i agree that it was a huge oversight, but the cure, its as easy as
mandrake 5.2. 
mandrake is just redhat with kde as its frontend. plus, hey, if they didnt
happen to include ssh or sendmail8.9, well, then its all out there as
rpms. and if you can't find it "out there", then go to ftp.turbolinux.com,
which happens to ship with nearly all the most current, almost *too*
current rpms.
