I've put a minimal system on 85 Meg, including 10 meg for swap.
This included X, but not gcc.  240 will hold all the necesary
development stuff and a the stuff needed to run a decent system.
But don't try to add extraneous stuff like star-office, gnome &
kde source and so forth or you'll run short of space in a heartbeat.
