Re: next meeting topics

  These topics look like a good grouping. Networking and X sounds fine, 
I'd like to learn more about X, particularly.  One thing that can be 
added to future topics would be a tour of the Research and Collections 
Center. This should be set back for a while until we need a more "social" 
type of meeting, but I can also talk about the use of 
linux/unix/wintel/mac on the network if folks are interested. One thing, 
I will want to arrange the tour with my boss as she can do a much more 
complete tour than I can.

I also want to add in databases, imaging, visualization, animation, and 
3d-modeling. These are applications that I'm mighty interested in trying 
to apply here, preferably under linux.
