Exactly what is needed!
The idea of patents is not wrong, so it's stupid to tear down
the whole institution. The problem is how software patents
are being granted, and that's what this addresses.
Far too often people take the worst concept and demonize it
as representative of the whole. E.g., Microsoft as
representing all commercial software. The Amazon one-click
patent as typical. Etc...
Rarely does less than 5% represent a whole.
