Re: Freevo
BTW I may try running linux on it to see if the decode is better.
(Linux=less cpu overhead maybe?)

Subject: Freevo
Anyone had any experience with Freevo? I have been setting up an old pc
for a living-room media center. So far, I am just using XP, but the CPU
in this thing is a 500Mhz AMD, its kinda old. It decodes regular .mpg
files fine, but .avi's with DIVX/XVID encoding is just not smooth
enough.
Anyone have any suggestions (besides deriding me for using XP at this
point)?
