Essentially, XP's NTFS adds support for hard links and moved some stuff around 
in the master file table for "performance" reasons.  That's annoying.  Remind me 
not to "upgrade" my 2000 boxes to XP...

If the mandrake installer is using the ntfsresize utils in the link in my 
original reply, it supports XP's NTFS.  I can't find a changelog detailing when 
that support was added, but since they say "Mandrake installer" I assume that 
the most recent should support NTFS 3.1 (or 5.1, whatever you wanna call it).
