Thats the conclusion I have come to... My DNS is ok, its just that my
sendmail was ok until some %$@#@ started using my box to spam people and got
ALL of my email added to RBL... I had to completely shut down email and go
without it for a few days to get that straightened out... All my attempts to
"fix" sendmail to reject relaying outside mail had done is break MANY things
for MY mail. I use fetchmail to get my email from other sources, but also
want to be able to send mail directly to MY box (FOR my network - not
theirs) FROM the internet.. ie, have my brother email me stuff that doesnt
get 'filtered' by those 'free' email hosts that I am using... Would be nice
to have some control over my own mail.. I currently have a domain, but it is
being hosted by one of those 'free' sites right now and I am not confident
enough in my server to move it here because I have been hit 3 times with the
slapper worm even though I replaced ssl and followed the removal/protection
procedures to the letter... I am currently NOT running apache.. Perhaps I
can find a cute 'second' email address for my (extended) family to use and
set that up  :)
