i had a similar problem with my speakers...they worked fine in windows but
even with the correct driver it wouldnt work...then for some reson i
switched the analog and digital speaker wires around...and they worked
fine....for some reason that fixed it. cant rememebr which one worked
analog or digital....thats the only thing i can think of...oh yeah make sure
you have the correct text in or modules.conf/conf.modules file so that it
loads when needed.
one more thing that i forgot....make sure the volume is up:)
