It's almost certainly not RH 7.2.  It's every bit as stable as the
rest of the x.2 Red Hat versions.

Make sure you have all updates applied, especially the kernel updates.
If that doesn't help, check your BIOS settings.  You probably need to
turn off some "optimizations", make sure "PNP OS" is set to "no", or
some other silly thing like that.

Also, if you happen to be using non-free drivers, like the NVidia or
Lucent winmodem drivers, that's probably your problem.
