/etc/mtab error

Since upgrading to RH 7.2 I get the following error emailed to root:

Subject: Cron <root@linus> run-parts /etc/cron.daily

/etc/cron.daily/tmpwatch:

error: failed to open /etc/mtab for reading

---
Here's the permissions of mtab:
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root          293 Feb 13 16:23 /etc/mtab


Any ideas?  Thanks.
