bios probs HELP!

I recently set something in the bios that moniters my
cpufan and gives an alarm when it begins to act
unusual. well when I rebooted, it gave the alarm and
automatically shut down. i get no screen output and it
won't stay on long enough to even get into the bios.

I tried to short out the real time clock. which I
thought I did concidering when I shorted it the
computer turned on, but then turned off again. i
shorted it thinking it would put everything in the
bios back to default. but nothing has changed. I have
a Asus A7133. Does anyone know what I can do to
correct this problem?
