Yes, indeed UIUC's LUG has gone defunct. However, a new one has been
working its way up since January or so. A work in progress is their site,
http://members.home.com/kwaite10/LUCI/LUCI.html. I've talked to them about
becoming a branch of LUCI (they hadn't realized a LUCI already existed
;-). I'm including them, and an aspiring group in Peoria as well as some
friends in Bloomington about the upcoming plans.
