I bought one somewhat accidentally a few weeks ago thinking it was a
tulip-based card. I've only used it for a few minutes at a time since
then, so I haven't seen any problems. Still, for a few bucks more you
can get a tulip (clone) card that won't have any of these issues, so
these RTL-8139 cards probably aren't worth messing with. (The Netgear
cards that Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, etc. carry are tulip
clones. They work great.)
BTW, isn't the RTL-8139 just an "improved" version of the 8029 chips
used in the PCI NE2k clones? If so, it's no wonder it sucks. :-)
