That sounds about average - 50-ish is common. That's what most of the
Chambana area ISP's are talking about charging in the next ferw months when
we finally get it...

I've got a cable modem. I live a few blocks from the U of I campus in
Urbana, thus, I'm on a busy section. My bandwidth is *not* impressive.
Sometimes it's OK, and it's almost always better than my 56K dialup, and
occasionally it's pretty good. If DSL was an option, and it cost within $30
of cable, I'd say "screw cable." For the time being, the cable was a free
install with 1.5 months free, and DSL isn't available, so it works out well
for me. As far as security goes, I haven't gotten any sniffers up and
running yet - but I haven't tried very hard... Remind me to try that
soon.
On a side note, did you ever do any contract work for Parkland, Jordan, or
was it just someone with a concidentaly similar name? Have I asked
before? :)
