The Hauppage WinTV-pci and WinTV-GO cards are easily found
in stores and reliable. The main difference between the
two is that the WinTV-GO is cheaper with monophonic audio.
Other models from Hauppage offer up the same video circuitry
with additional toppings, maybe an FM tuner. WinTV-Theater
has Dolby Stereo. You'll need BTTV, which gives you drivers
for all that stuff. XawTV doesn't have the prettiest interface
available, but it works for a TV tuner, grabbing stills and AVI
clips. If you need editing, you might look into Broadcast 2000.
All the software is on the net, or, in the box with SuSE 6.4...
