I put zipslak on a second 125 MB hard drive on a play box at home
(one of those 486/33 boxes, Simon!) and it worked fine.
It ran ok with only 8 MB RAM.
It's very stripped down, but fun to play with. I didn't do
a whole lot with it though. It was mostly just to load it with
my son and show him a different world. :)
