TI83

I've got a misinformed statistics instructor who insists her students need
a TI83 and only a TI-83 (or TI83+) for her "introduction to applied
statistics" course (it's a requirement - not something I'm gonna learn
anything from), because it offers functionality not provided by other
calculators (such as my HP48Gx or Mathematica, apperantly). Now, I am
nearly positive that she's just not as intimately familiar with the other
calculational tools at my disposal as I am or was brainwashed by TI's "easy
to use / easy to teach" lie, and the course is taught on-line so she won't
know one way or another, but it might be nice to have an 83 laying around
so I can compare my solutions to the expected results...

I'm not gonna buy one unless it's to play with the assembly-level
programming on the Z80 processor, so I figured I'd ask if any of you folks
know of an emulator for linux. I found a few for windows/DOS, and can run
VMware, but I'd like a native emu. if possible...
