LUCI: Tuesday, June 22 meeting

The next meeting of the Linux Users of Central Illinois is tomorrow,
Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at 7 pm at the Illinois State Museum at the
corner of Spring and Edwards Streets in Springfield. If you need
directions, see the ISM directions page web site at

    http://www.museum.state.il.us/ismsites/main/directions.htm

Hopefully by tomorrow evening we'll be able to have a computer set up
with an Internet connection (and sound) so we can listen to the Linux
Show's interview with Jon "maddog" Hall, the Executive Director of
Linux International. If not, we might have to cut the meeting short
so everybody can go home (or come over to my place ;) to listen to the
show. Maddog is always interesting... Apparently he's recently left
DEC^H^H^HCompaq for VA Linux Systems. There's surely an interesting
story there.

Other than that, I'd like us to do some planning at the meeting.
There are a few upcoming events/projects that I'd like to see the
group involved in. We should also be able to squeeze in a product
demo or two...

Oh, make sure you show up for this meeting... At the last meeting, we
gave away a copy of Civilization: CTP (thanks to Loki), an Adaptec
2940U2W (courtesy of Adaptec), and a bunch of other stuff. If you'd
like to see that sort of thing continue, we need lots of people at
meetings. ;-) (Not that turnout has been bad, but if it were even
better...)

As always, we'll have some time for Q&A so we can try to answer all of
your questions.

See you tomorrow. :-)
