/etc/cron.daily has these:

-rwxr-xr-x   1 root     root           51 Apr  7 11:04 logrotate
-rwxr-xr-x   1 root     root          390 Apr  9 18:26 makewhatis.cron
-rwxr-xr-x   1 root     root          291 Apr 19 13:55 slocate.cron
-rwxr-xr-x   1 root     root           54 Apr  8 12:48 tmpwatch

...

Look for something like /etc/cron.daily/updatedb.cron and run it.
