Re: User management

Jason,
Looking at samba running under solaris (our most busy samba box) I see
in /usr/local/samba a log file for each host, called log.<host>. For
example if I:

erich@marduk% tail log.tasc2
1999/05/13 18:02:53 tasc2 (192.168.1.35) closed connection to service
crickers
1999/05/13 18:02:53 tasc2 (192.168.1.35) closed connection to service
usace-ro
1999/05/13 18:02:53 tasc2 (192.168.1.35) closed connection to service
iasplot
1999/05/13 18:02:53 tasc2 (192.168.1.35) closed connection to service
illinois2
1999/05/13 18:02:53 tasc2 (192.168.1.35) closed connection to service drg
1999/05/14 09:38:24 tasc2 (192.168.1.35) connect to service crickers as
user crickers (uid=2021,gid=10) (pid 3163)
1999/05/14 09:38:24 tasc2 (192.168.1.35) connect to service iasplot as
user nobody (uid=60001,gid=60001) (pid 3163)
1999/05/14 09:38:24 tasc2 (192.168.1.35) connect to service illinois2 as
user nobody (uid=60001,gid=60001) (pid 3163)
1999/05/14 09:38:24 tasc2 (192.168.1.35) connect to service drg as user
nobody (uid=60001,gid=60001) (pid 3163)
1999/05/14 09:38:24 tasc2 (192.168.1.35) connect to service usace-ro as
user nobody (uid=60001,gid=60001) (pid 3163)

Is this what you mean? I just have the default smb.conf file.
