One suggestion wrt supplementing the how-to's:  They all have a maintainer,
and it might be a good thing to submit suggested revisions to the maintainer
of the actual FAQ/how-to/minihowto before any extra docs are written.  This
would keep the documentation in a reasonably central place, and reduce the
amount of work needed...  If there's not already a how-to that whatever
anyone has in mind is covered under, then a brand new document would be
justified.

Just my nickel's worth (can't buy anything with 2 pennies anymore).
