LUCI: Tuesday, September 22 meeting

The next meeting of the Linux Users of Central Illinois is tomorrow,
Tuesday, September 22, 1998, at 7 pm at the Illinois State Museum
Research and Collections Center at 1011 East Ash Street in
Springfield.  If you need directions, see the LUCI web site at

Since the topic has come up quite a few times on luci-discuss, our
topic for tomorrow's meeting will be a comparison of the various Linux
distributions.  We'll also compare the various Linux distributions to
the "real" Unix varieties.

As time permits, we'll also have a quick look at the current state of
KDE and Gnome, two of the desktops available for Linux.

As always, bring any questions you might have, and we'll do our best
to answer them.
